BlockFreedom

About

Decentralization is a job.

Every network that promises "no single point of failure" depends on people who actually run the infrastructure. That's the job BlockFreedom does.

Where we come from

Founder Jon Tetreault has been in crypto since 2016 and full time since 2018 — through the era when node ecosystems went from a hobbyist's experiment to real infrastructure. He wrote the plain-language guides and FAQs that helped a generation of newcomers find their way around the Gala Games node ecosystem, and BlockFreedom grew out of that work: projects need people who can run infrastructure and explain it.

How we work

Run it before you recommend it. We support ecosystems we operate in ourselves. If we haven't run the node, held the keys, and hit the sharp edges, we don't put our name near it.

Plain language. Infrastructure documentation is where good projects go to lose their operators. We write guides for the person actually setting things up at their kitchen table — no jargon required.

Picky on purpose. The ecosystems we work in — across agriculture, finance, wellness, climate, and gaming — are there because we vetted them ourselves.

The two brands

BlockFreedom is the infrastructure side: running nodes and supporting the communities around them. Blockchain Jon is founder Jon Tetreault's separate education brand, where individuals learn the security habits that keep their crypto safe. Different jobs, same conviction: this technology only works when people actually understand what they're running and holding.
